Trains between Brighton and London have been disrupted after vehicle reportedly hit a bridge.
Services have been delayed after reports that trains were being congested due to the incident near Redhill.
One passenger said that an announcement was made to those on delayed trains and that she had missed her connection train due to the delays.
Gatwick Express, Southern and ThamesLink services between Brighton and London Bridge are thought to have been affected.
In a tweet, Govia Thameslink, who run services on the Brighton mainline, said: "We have been advised due to a road vehicle colliding with a bridge between Purley and Redhill some lines are closed."
