Almost half of Britons believe that the Duke of Sussex, who has shocked many with his tell-all autobiography Spare, should be stripped of his royal titles.

In a survey by YouGov for The Times, 44 per cent of people polled said that Prince Harry should have his title removed following a series of revelations in a six-part Netflix series and his upcoming book.

The research also found that some 53 per cent believed that Harry and his wife Meghan did not deserve an apology from the rest of the Royal Family, after the couple said that they have yet to receive any recognition about the issues they have endured.

Despite the findings, 51 per cent of people said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should still be invited to the King’s Coronation in May.

Explosive revelations have been leaked from Prince Harry’s autobiography, Spare, which hits UK bookshelves tomorrow.

In an incendiary interview with CNN ahead of its release, he said that he is “not texting” his brother and described Queen Consort Camilla as “the villain”.

Speaking to Anderson Cooper, the Duke of Sussex spoke about the Royal Family’s mistrust of his wife Meghan Markle, allegedly sparked by her being “American, an actress, divorced [and] black”.

He also claimed he was “not invited” onboard a plane taking other members of the family to Balmoral Castle ahead of the Queen’s death last September.

Speaking about his relationship with his brother, the Prince of Wales, and his father, the King, Prince Harry said he is currently “not texting” William and that he had not spoken to his father for “quite a while”.

Harry’s book Spare has sparked a furore over many claims, including his admission he killed 25 Taliban fighters during the war in Afghanistan, as well as allegations that William physically attacked him.

His tell-all tales also reveal how he took cocaine and magic mushrooms and lost his virginity to an older woman in a field behind a busy pub, with the stories dominating front pages for several days.
