The team behind a popular pub are opening a new venue in the city.
The site of Oast, in Preston Street, Brighton, will be taken over and reopened as a new pub.
The pub will be run by the team behind The Evening Star, a busy pub in Surrey Street near Brighton station.
Specialising in Czech and German beer, the surveyors said it will reopen "soon".
The pub will be renamed The Brick.
Flude Property Consultants, one of the largest chartered surveyors in the South East, announced the deal.
“The demand for pubs in Brighton remains as strong as ever, as the latest transactions have shown the city still seems to be an attractive place to operate,” said Will Thomas, Fludes’ retail and leisure specialist.
“Other recent transactions include the sales of the former Royal Standard in Queens Road and Newmarket Inn on the A27.
“We have other sites currently under offer too, which we hope to be announcing more on soon and have seen multiple offers being made on these too”.
