A beach has been closed due to rock falls.
Birling Gap beach will be closed "until further notice" while a rock fall, which took place over the New Year's break, is dealt with.
Rock falls happen along the Sussex chalk cliffs throughout the year but following record-breaking temperatures and droughts last summer, residents and visitors are urged to pay particular attention to safety advice.
A spokesman for Wealden District council said: "The National Trust car park, cafe and the walks along the top of the cliffs are all still open.
"However that section of the beach will be closed until further notice."
According to East Sussex County Council, unseen overhangs and cracks in the cliffs mean large chunks can fall off without warning.
Last year, rope fences were installed at cliff edges in the county to encourage visitors to stay away from the precarious cliff edges.
The one-metre-high rope fences were installed at the cliffs near Beachy Head and Belle Tout.
