Revellers travelling to London to ring in the New Year are being advised to check their train journey to make sure they don’t start 2023 stranded.
Train operators have warned that trains will be extremely busy, with no services operating from London Victoria due to engineering works.
Some services will also depart before midnight, with the last train from London St Pancras to Brighton leaving at 11pm, and the last train from London Bridge to Horsham leaving at 11.43pm.
The last train from London Bridge to Brighton and stations to Worthing will depart only shortly after the country welcomes in the New Year, leaving at 12.07am, with the final train from London Bridge to Gatwick Airport leaving shortly afterwards at 12.15am.
Those heading home to Haywards Heath from the capital will have a little longer to celebrate the new year before rushing to catch their train, with the final service from London St Pancras departing at 12.54am.
