Sussex is set to be battered with gale force winds, with gusts of more than 50mph expected to pummel the coast.
Wet and windy weather is expected for most of this morning and into the afternoon, with winds of up to 56mph forecast by the Met Office for Brighton and Hove.
Heavy rain will last until at least 2pm, when conditions will start to brighten. However, gusts of more than 40mph are forecast for well into the evening and overnight.

The blustery weather will continue tomorrow, with gusts of up to 50mph along the coast.
Conditions will, however, be drier with sunny intervals throughout the day.
While the Met Office has not issued a weather warning for the region, the weather service’s advice during stormy conditions and gales is to stay indoors as much as possible, slow down on roads and take care on exposed routes - such as bridges and high open roads, and to not go outside to repair any damage while the storm is in progress.
