Patients from a children’s hospice met Raymond Briggs’s much-loved Snowman aboard the Brighton i360.
Youngsters from Chestnut Tree House were invited as part of an event to celebrate the festive period on Tuesday.
The Snowman greeted the children, who were also able to meet Father Christmas during their trip in the seafront attraction.
Mandi Hirsch, of Chestnut Tree House, said: “We’re so grateful to the team at Brighton i360 for their support. Experiences like this are really special for our children and families, and the day was truly magical.
“The sun was shining, the views were incredible, and everyone loved meeting The Snowman.”
Chestnut Tree House has a close relationship with Sussex author Raymond Briggs, who was a patron of the charity from 2003 until his death earlier this year.
The charity added that his much-loved book resonates with the families who benefit from the hospice as, much like the story, “it’s not always the sad ending you remember; it’s the happy times they have together and this is very much what Chestnut Tree House is about”.
Chestnut Tree House provides care for children and young people with life limiting conditions at the hospice in Angmering.
