A boy who died following a crash between a car and a van has been named.
Harry Dennis, 11, died as a result of his injuries after being airlifted to a hospital in London.
Police arrested a 33-year-old man from Eastbourne at the scene of the crash in the B2095 in Hooe.
He has now been released on unconditional bail while investigations continue.
Sussex Police Detective Sergeant Rob Baldwin, from the serious collision investigations unit, said: “Our thoughts are with Harry’s family and friends at this very difficult time.
“We are continuing to support them and keep them updated on the progress of the investigation.”
The crash between a car and a flatbed van took place at around 3.05pm on Thursday, December 15.
Harry died of his injuries on Saturday, December 17.
Police are still appealing for information regarding the crash including dash cam footage or CCTV.
