A boy who was seriously injured in a collision between a car and a van has died.
Emergency services were called to the incident on the B2095 in Hooe, near Bexhill, on Thursday afternoon following the crash, with the 11-year-old boy airlifted to a hospital in London with life-threatening injuries.
Sussex Police have confirmed that the boy died as a result of his injuries on Saturday, with his next of kin being supported by specialist officers.
A 33-year-old man from Eastbourne has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He remains in police custody and is awaiting interview.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which occurred at around 3.05pm on December 15.
