Beach hut owners have put up festive decorations and opened their doors for an open day ahead of Christmas.
Huts adorned with festive lights, Christmas wreaths and cut-outs of the three wise men were seen at the event at the Hove beach huts near Hove Lawns.
The event was a chance for owners to use their traditionally summery huts to spread some festive cheer. Some served mulled wine and minced pies as well as raising money for charity.
Karen Peck, who created a display including the three wise men, said: “A lot of work went into this.
“I wanted to share my faith in Jesus. I haven’t had a chance to see any of the other huts just yet.”
Other huts on display included one woman playing the saxophone outside of her hut and another where owners dressed up as Santa Claus and Mrs Claus.
Another hut included in the display used a design which incorporated photographs of all of the beach huts in Brighton and Hove in order, which was created during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The event, run by the Hove Beach Huts Association, is now in its second year after a successful launch in 2021.
