An air ambulance has landed on a beach following reports of an incident in a nearby building.
Multiple emergency service vehicles have attended the incident in Marine Parade in Worthing at around 12pm on Saturday, December 17.
The air ambulance was seen taking off from the beach while fire crews and police continue their presence at the scene.
Sussex Police said that a man has been arrested and taken into custody.
A small crowd was seen looking on at the incident and taking pictures of the scene.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "Police are currently responding to an incident at an address in Marine Parade, Worthing.
"A 42-year-old man from Worthing has been arrested and taken into custody.
"Enquiries are ongoing and we have no further information at this time."
The exact details of the incident have not yet been confirmed.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service have been approached for comment.
