Multiple fire engines have attended an incident where the roof of a house caught fire.
Several pumps including an aerial ladder were used to tackle the fire at a property in High Street in Angmering.
The fire, which took place at around 10pm on Friday, December 16, was eventually subdued after a joint response from emergency services.
In a statement on Twitter, West Sussex Fire and Rescue said: "We are currently attending a house fire in the High Street, Angmering.
"We were called at 9.51pm and have eight appliances and an aerial ladder platform at the scene. Please avoid the area if possible and close windows and doors if you live nearby."
A later statement added that the fire was extinguished at 1.51am on Saturday, December 17, and that fire crews were still in attendance to ensure the building was safe.
It is currently unclear what caused the blaze in the detached house.
