A new cold weather alert has been announced and temperatures will feel as low as -7C.
The alert, which began on Wednesday at 9.00am will be in place until 12.00pm on Sunday.
According to the Met Office, the weather could "increase the health risks to vulnerable patients and disrupt the delivery of services".
The warning is includes all of Sussex, which was hit by a bout of snow earlier in the week.
Temperatures will reach lows of -5C tomorrow in parts of the county including Haywards Heath and Crawley.
While the cold weather will linger on Saturday, by Sunday it will be a much milder pitcture in Sussex.
Lows of -5C will rise 10 degrees to around 5C on Sunday across Sussex.
And with the milder weather comes two days of heavy rain, forecast for Sunday and Monda.
Temperatures will reach highs of 12C, well above averages for Sussex in December.
Sadly the sun will not return until mid next week, with a clear day predicted for the winter equinox next Wednesday.
