Argus readers have been sending in their snow pictures as the county was hit with the first snowfall of the winter.
Snow began to fall across Sussex on Sunday, creating a picturesque scene for many who were soon throwing snowballs and digging out their skis.
The snow also wreaked havoc on the roads, however, as cars and buses were brought to a standstill in many places.
Sarah Salpekar, from Preston Park, Brighton, sent a photo of her husband Neeraj after he broke out his skis to wade through the snow.
She said he was “very happy to finally get his skis on again”.
Many people sent in photographs of their pets enjoying the snow. Rachel Robertson, who lives in central Brighton, said that her cat, Luna, was “desperate to get at the snow” as it fell on Sunday afternoon.
Brighton seafront was also covered in a smattering of the white stuff, as seen in this snap from Frederick Bouilleau.
In Stanmer Park, there was a white blanket covering the ground and children’s play equipment, as spotted by Daniel Seabrook.
Many readers found their travel was affected by the snow as some roads became impassable due to the weather.
Gem Johnson sent in a photo of Valley Drive in Withdean, describing the road as “virtually impassable”.
She said cars were “spinning all over the place and one car just went into the back of another parked car at the bottom as it couldn’t stop”.
In Ditchling Road, Julia Davis sent a photo from her stationary car, adding that she had to “leave the car and walk home” while travelling into Brighton.
