A railway line is blocked after a train and the rescue train that tried to free it became stuck.
The line between Hove and Littlehampton became blocked at around 6.50am this morning.
It comes as a yellow weather warning for snow and ice was issued by the Met Office for much of the country, including Sussex.
Delays are expected on the Hove to Littlehampton line for the whole morning.
A spokeswoman for Southern Rail said: “The snowy and icy weather has had an impact across the network and we are unfortunately experiencing disruption across many routes this morning.
“There is currently no service from Barnham/Littlehampton down to Hove so please do not attempt to travel in this area. This is due to a prover train and rescue train becoming stuck on the line.
“We’re working hard to get things running as they should be, but disruption is expected to last all morning.”
More as we have it.
