Trains have been delayed and cancelled after a fault caused by recent cold weather.
Passengers have been told that due to the frosty conditions, services across East Sussex are currently disrupted.
The problems come after the failure of electricity supply between Eastbourne and Hampden Park. The line is blocked meaning that no trains can leave the station.
An update on the Southern Rail website said: "Southern services to & from Eastbourne have been suspended.
"Due to ice preventing trains from getting electricity from the third rail between Lewes and Seaford, Eastbourne, and Hastings, some lines are currently closed. As a result, trains running to and from these stations may be cancelled or delayed."
Southern Rail have warned passengers to expect delays of at least 90 minutes.
The line has now re-opened but delays are still expected as services begin to resume.
The cancellations have been blamed on the cold weather which has swept East Sussex in recent days.
Issues with the line were first reported at 7.12am on Sunday, December 11.
Passengers are being advised to make alternative travel arrangements including using buses and taxis.
