Emergency services have been called to the scene following a crash on the A259.
Debris from two cars was seen scattered across the road after a collision along North Street in Worthing town centre.
Part of the road is closed with queuing traffic on the A259 North Street eastbound between Winton Place and Lyndhurst Road.
The road westbound is also partially blocked by emergency vehicles.
Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
