A former Wallace and Gromit sculptor is among those showing work at a new art exhibition.

Interior designer Katherine Richards launched the new collection at her gallery in Portland Road, Hove, on Friday.

Among the 11 artists featured in the show, Collection Six, is Lisa Stevens.

Lisa was a senior sculptor for Aardman Animations, which has been responsible for sculpting for Wallace and Gromit, The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit and Chicken Run among others.

This led her to create porcelain clay sculptures which capture the intricate textures of sea life such as urchins and anemones.

Katherine, who opened the art gallery in October 2021, said: “This latest collection has been a joy to curate.

"I’ve chosen pieces to lift the spirits and bring colour and warmth to people’s homes. I think we all need an antidote to grey wintry days. Art has that power.”

Also featuring in the three-month exhibition is award-winning ceramicist Alice Mara.

Her work is described as "realising photography in three dimensions", with one of her pieces based on a Kemp Town townhouse.

The gallery was launched in October 2021 and houses interior design and art with the intention of giving homeowners a broader choice of ways to personalise their living environment.

Katherine’s new collection runs until March 4 and is free to visit. The art is available to buy. The gallery is open on Fridays and Saturday.
