Police have been called to the scene of a crash near the A259.
Officers were seen near South Road in Newhaven following an accident between Chapel Street and A259 South Way.
Other emergency services were also spotted at the scene, with eyewitnesses saying that more than one vehicle was involved.
Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
