There has been a crash involving a car and motorbike on the A259.

The incident happened westbound just before the Rottingdean traffic lights at around 7am this morning.

It has been causing severe delays of around 45 minutes back to Sutton Avenue in Peacehaven.

Three police cars and at least one ambulance were in attendance. Another police car further up the road.

The car involved had damage to its front left bumper while the bike was off the road.

Traffic is now passing through.

Sussex Police have been approached for comment.
