Tributes are flooding in for a teenage girl who died after a motorbike crash.
India Buchanan died in hospital on Monday after suffering serious injuries from a motorbike collision on the A27 in Salvington.
The 17-year-old, from Rustington, was riding on a motorbike as a pillion passenger. A 25-year-old man, who was driving the motorbike, suffered serious injuries.
Last night, family and friends stood at the scene of the incident in Crockhurst Hill with their motorbikes to commemorate India.
A motorbike helmet and flowers have been attached to a lamppost, alongside notes commemorating India.
Sam Byrne, India’s aunt, shared images of the motorbikes and floral tributes to Facebook.
She added: “She was loved by so many.”
Another relative, Kimberley Hills, shared photographs of India alongside a heartfelt tribute. She wrote: “Sleep tight my beautiful angel.
“You were so kind, caring and such a beautiful soul. You were gone far too soon. We love you so much.”
People from across Sussex have paid tribute to India.
Philip Strevens, from Shoreham, said: “A good friend of mine, will forever miss you Indy, rest well.”
Dennis Stoner, from Worthing, said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends at this sad time.”
Helen Simmons, from Brighton, said: “Rest in peace angel, taken too soon.”
On Saturday, Sussex Police said her next of kin were being supported by specially trained officers.
The force has been approached for comment.
