A dessert and coffee shop specialising in sourdough donuts is to open offering its premium sweet treats.
Crosstown have announce the opening of their third store outside of London and will bring their specialty ice creams and coffees to the south coast.
The shop, which is set to open in early December, will allow shoppers to grab the treats in person after the company previously launched a delivery service in the area.
Adam Willis, co-founder of Crosstown, said: “Crosstown goes coastal! We’re excited to be making our way down to Brighton, our third location outside of London, following Cambridge and Oxford store openings. In our Brighton store we’ll be serving up our award-winning doughnuts, chocolate, and coffee, as well as fulfilling event and catering orders to the people of Brighton.”
“Crosstown are no strangers to Brighton, having been delivering to the city since 2020 with our nationwide delivery offering. We’re excited to be offering both locals and visitors the entire Crosstown experience, with our full offering readily available to them.”
The shop, which has become famous for creating the first sourdough donuts, will open on Friday, December 9, in Sydney Street in North Laine in Brighton.
To celebrate the launch of the new store, 500 free donuts will be handed out to customers on opening day from 12pm. Crosstown will also be donating half of its sales from the second day of trading to young homelessness charity The Clock Tower Sanctuary.
Crosstown also plans to open a seating area to its store in Sydney Street, which will be ready for Spring 2023.
The company was first set up as a street food stall in 2014 and has now grown to have 26 stores primarily based in London.
The Brighton site is the business’s third store outside of London and the first on the south coast.
Crosstown also now offers a delivery service which was first launched in 2020 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Donuts can be ordered either for delivery across Sussex or for collection in their store once opened.
