A bank is appealing for toys and cash donations to support a children’s charity.
Metro Bank’s Brighton branch is asking for toys and money to help Sussex charity Rockinghorse.
The appeal is part of Metro Bank’s Christmas community campaign, partnering with local charities to “spread warmth” this winter.
“As a community bank we want to really help make Christmas extra special for the children and families being supported by Rockinghorse,” said Stephen Cotton, manager of Brighton’s Metro Bank branch.
Rockinghorse Children’s Charity is the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton. The charity raises money to provide medical equipment to improve the lives of sick children across Sussex.
The charity does not receive any government funding and relies on the generous support of individuals, community groups, schools, companies and trusts.
Brighton residents and businesses are encouraged to donate toys and games for children of all ages at the North Street branch.
Mr Cotton added: “We would encourage everyone to give a little extra this Christmas and I want to thank everyone in advance for their generous support.”
Metro Bank’s Brighton branch is at 82 North Street and is open for donations Mondays to Saturdays, 8.30am to 6pm and 11am to 5pm on Sundays.
