Police were called to a reported fight on a bus which forced passengers to get off.
The bus had to break its journey after pulling over on Old Shoreham Road in Hove near Olive Road.
Passengers ended up getting off the number 2 bus towards Steyning after three police cars were called to the scene.
Brighton and Hove Buses tweeted that the 4.15 bus towards Steyning would not run “due to the police dealing with an incident”.
After getting on to a new bus, a passenger was heard jokingkly saying to the driver "no fights on this bus then".
It is currently unclear what caused the incident shortly before 4pm on Sunday, November 20.
Sussex Police have been approached for comment.
