These pictures show sparse shelves as shoppers try to stock up on eggs.
It comes as supermarkets issued warnings to customers and put up signs limiting customers to two packs of eggs each.
This Asda in Brighton Marina had sparse shelves and a warning to customers limiting them to only two packs each.
The nationwide shortages are believed to be at least partly related to outbreaks of avian flu, commonly known as bird flu, across the country.
Asda and Lidl have limited the number of units customers can buy, while Tesco and Sainsbury's have issued warnings to customers about the shortage.
The UK has been facing its largest outbreak of bird flu with over 200 cases confirmed on commercial premises, smallholdings and in pet birds since October last year.
But the Environment Secretary Therese Coffey said she is "confident we can get through" the egg shortages gripping the nation.
She said: "Recognising there are still about nearly 14 million egg-laying hens available, I’m confident we can get through this supply difficulty in the short term.”
