The River Arun flooded after a week of heavy rain in Sussex.
The Environment Agency issued flood warnings across the county. The warning for the Arun at Pulborough remains in place.
According to the national body, the River Arun has fallen from its peak, but floooding will continue to affect the A29 at Pulborough.
River levels rose this morning due to the tide, but are expected to fall again this evening.
A spokesman for the Environment Agency said:"While very little rain is forecast Friday and Saturday, the river will not return to a normal level until next week."
