A primary school says that it is “over the moon” after adding a new outdoor learning area for pupils.
Moulsecoomb Primary School added an outdoor area for younger years children to be able to learn and play.
The school has also received extra funding from The Pioneer Academy to improve its classrooms including new decorations, lighting and children’s furniture.
Adam Sutton, head teacher at Moulsecoomb Primary School, said: “It is brilliant to see the children enjoying our new facilities.
"The investment from The Pioneer Academy is enriching their learning while allowing staff to be more creative in their approaches to teaching and learning.”
In total, The Pioneer Academy were given over £280,000 for improvements to the school.
The majority of the money was spent on the outdoor learning environment which includes benches and a play area.
Work on the school was completed over the holidays for pupils to enjoy this term.
Lee Mason Ellis, chief executive of The Pioneer Academy, said: “Children deserve the very best learning environments possible.
"I am so pleased to see that the investments we have made at Moulsecoomb Primary School have transformed the learning experience for pupils and staff alike.”
