Trains are delayed between Three Bridges and Haywards Heath due to flooding.
Track specialists are on their way to Balcombe Tunnel to assess how bad the flooding is.
Southern Rail recommends that commuters allow an extra 15 minutes for travel.
Tickets are being accepted on Metro Bus between Three Bridges and Brighton while services are affected.
