Security at a Marks and Spencer store have launched an investigation after a man was put into a headlock on the floor of the shop.
Footage shows a man being restrained on the floor by two other men near the entrance of the store in Western Road in Brighton.
M&S confirmed that there had been "a case of attempted shoplifting" and police were called at around 4.30pm on Thursday, November 10.
In the footage, one man can be seen holding the man by his leg while another man in a grey hoodie puts the man in a headlock.
During the skirmish, a man can be heard shouting “leave me alone” while being told to calm down.
Another man can be heard asking the person who took the video to stop filming.
The incident lasted a number of minutes while the pair attempted to subdue the man on the floor.

In a statement, a spokeswoman for Marks and Spencer said: “We can confirm Sussex Police attended after a case of attempted shoplifting which took place in our Brighton Western Road store last Thursday.
"Separately, our third-party security partners are also investigating the incident.”
