Staff at a shop were threatened by a man with a knife in an armed robbery.
The man stormed into a Co-op in Ifield Drive, Crawley, terrorising workers at the store before fleeing with two bottles of alcohol.
Officers, including armed units and a forensics investigations team, were called to the scene of the robbery and carried out an extensive search, but were unable to locate a suspect.
The man is described as white, of medium build, with blonde hair and wearing a grey hooded jumper, blue mask and blue jeans.
Pictures from the incident show part of the store cordoned off with police tape while officers carried out their investigation.
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who saw what happened or has any other information about the incident, which took place around 8.20pm yesterday evening (November 13), is urged to report it to police online or call 101, quoting serial 1158 of 13/11.
A police spokesman confirmed that no one was physically hurt in the robbery.
