A care home for people with dementia is set to close.
Carlton House, in St Aubyns, Hove, will close next January.
There were concerns that residents would be left "homeless" - but the council says it is working to find them somewhere new to live.
The private care home was registered to the health watchdog on December 2, 2021.
It is currently run by a company called Jiva Healthcare.
Brighton and Hove City Council said the owners "have notified us that the home will soon be closing down".
A council spokesperson said: "The Carlton House care home is privately run. It is not run by the council.
“They have confirmed to us that the home will stay open for their full contractual notice period, and close on January 20."
The council said it would support residents to ensure they are relocated.
“We are supporting the home to ensure residents remain safe and well at this difficult and stressful time," said a council spokesman.
“We are also working in partnership with the owner, staff and relatives to identify new homes for people living at Carlton House before it closes.”
