A man has been found dead at a property in Hove after police knocked down the door of the building.
He was discovered on Sunday after police were called to the property in Lansdowne Place.
Police were called to the incident after concerns were raised for the man’s welfare, but they found him dead inside the property.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and the matter is now being dealt with by the coroner’s office.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Police were called to a property in Lansdowne Place, Hove, on Sunday afternoon, November 6, following welfare concern for the occupant.
"Officers entered the flat just after 7pm and found a 47-year-old man who was sadly deceased.
"There are no suspicious circumstances and the matter has been passed to the coroner's officer.”
