Sussex has been issued with its fifth weather warning in the space of just one week as the Met Office forecasts more rain for the region.
A yellow weather warning for rain has been issued for the entire county, which will come into force from 11pm this evening and last until 10am tomorrow.
Heavy showers are likely to cause further flooding in some places, with spray on roads expected to make journey times longer for motorists and delays expected for some bus and train services.
A spokeswoman for the Met Office said: “Following the heavy rain during Sunday, further heavy showers are likely overnight and into Monday morning, bringing a further 15-25 mm of rain in places.”
The latest weather warning comes after a week of heavy rain and wind across Sussex, causing widespread flooding in some parts of the county and further damage to the West Pier in Brighton.
