There are three miles of traffic on the A23 after a car came off the carriageway.
The incident happened at around 7.30am this morning on the A23 northbound before the Bolney turn off.
Queues are around three miles currently all the way back to Hurstpierpoint.
A car is said to have driven off the road.
The A23 is said to be partially blocked.
It comes as reports have flown in about flooding on roads across Sussex this morning.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning from midnight to 3pm today.
Travel time is around one hour through the section of road.
Sussex Police have been approached for comment.
Traffic is now clear.
