Two children are in hospital after a fight involving a group of youths outside a railway station.
The incident happened at around 8pm last night in North Road, just outside Lancing railway station.
A 14-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl have been taken to hospital.
Sussex Police have not confirmed the extent of their injuries.
Armed police could be seen near the railway station.
A spokesman said: “Police responded to reports of an altercation involving a group of youths in North Road, Lancing around 8pm on Tuesday, November 2.
“It is believed to have happened outside Lancing railway station, the Asda store, and The Railway public house.
“A 14-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy have been taken to hospital and both are receiving support from officers.
"The incident is not believed to pose a threat to the wider community.
“Witnesses or anyone with information about the incident are asked to come forward and report it to Sussex Police online, quoting serial 1295 of 02/11.”
