A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after an alleged robbery at gunpoint.
The teenager and two other people approached another 16-year-old boy and his friend at Monks Recreation Ground in Crabtree Lane in Lancing.
One of them, reportedly in possession of a firearm, demanded property from the boy. He was then assaulted by the group.
The three people fled the scene, running off in the direction of Lancing railway station.
Following police enquiries, a 16-year-old boy from Shoreham was arrested on suspicion of robbery.
He has been released on conditional bail.
The other two suspects remain outstanding.
Officers are urging anyone with information about the incident, which took place around 10pm on October 26, to report it to police online or by calling 101, quoting crime reference 47220200443.
