A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a woman was hit by a car.
A 22-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a red BMW on the driveway at a house in Church Road in Chichester.
Although her injuries were initially considered to be life-threatening, she is now in a stable condition in hospital.
A 24-year-old man from Chichester has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and drink-driving.
He has since been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
Police are urging anyone with relevant information or footage of the incident, which took place between 1am and 1.15am on October 24, to report it to police.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of the red BMW in the area prior to the collision.
