Christmas may still be seven weeks away but that hasn’t stopped some shops in Brighton’s high street from getting into the festive spirit already.
Some stores have already started putting up decorations and even Christmas trees in their windows as shoppers start to think about gifts for the holiday season.
Next at Churchill Square has put a selection of snow-covered trees on display alongside a range of mannequins in wintry clothing suitable for the colder days ahead, while Marks and Spencer in Western Road has opened its Christmas shop, featuring gift ideas, baubles and woolly jumpers.
In North Laine, Bert’s Homestore is also in the festive spirit and has adorned the shop with lights and other decorations.
Christmas trees have also sprung up at furniture store Habitat in North Street, with sparkling stars also affixed to the windows.
It comes just a few weeks after the first of the city’s Christmas lights were put up, with a highways maintenance team installing illuminations of reindeer, owls and Christmas presents in and around North Laine.
