New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to five of Brighton and Hove’s establishments.
Restaurants, cafes and canteens
The following ratings have been given to three restaurants, cafes or canteens:
• Rated 4: The Secret Garden At The Coach House Tearooms at 108a Old London Road, Brighton; rated on September 21
• Rated 4: You Juice Garage at Ground Floor, 48 Brunswick Street East, Hove; rated on September 21
• Rated 2: Fiveways Grill at 255 Ditchling Road, Brighton; rated on September 21
Pubs, bars and nightclubs
And one rating has been handed to a pub, bar or nightclub:
• Rated 4: CedarBay At The Victory at 6 Duke Street, Brighton; rated on September 21
Takeaways
Plus one rating for a takeaway:
• Rated 4: Tasty Chinese Takeaway at 15 Kings Parade, Ditchling Road, Brighton; rated on September 21
What the ratings mean:
There are six different ratings that a venue can be awarded from 0 to 5.
5 - Hygiene standards are very good
4 – Hygiene standards are good
3 – Hygiene standards are generally satisfactory
2 – Some improvement is necessary
1 – Major improvement is necessary
0 – Urgent improvement is required
