Rescue teams have been spotted on the seafront where a person was reportedly spotted in the water.
Coastguard teams were spotted at around 8am this morning on Worthing seafront.
Lifeboats from Shoreham were said to have searched for the person.
The Coastguard was also called, including a helicopter.
The RNLI and HM Coastguard has been approached for comment.
