Harry Styles’ latest film will not be screened in Brighton, despite being produced and set in the city.
My Policeman, starring the As It Was singer and The Crown’s Emma Corrin, was filmed in locations across Brighton and Sussex in spring last year, including the Palace Pier.
However, a search of the city’s four cinemas show that none will have any screenings of the new film, which released in selected theatres yesterday.
In fact, the only cinema in Sussex showing it appears to be the Dome Cinema in Marine Parade, Worthing.
The film sees secretly gay policeman Tom Burgess, played by Harry Styles, marry schoolteacher Marion Taylor while embarking on an affair with museum curator Patrick Hazlewood.
Set in the 1950s, filming took place at the Regency Town House in Brunswick Square for a wedding scene, the Palace Pier and the Brighton Dome.
Fans of Harry Styles in Brighton and Hove can still catch the singer and actor on the silver screen, with screenings of Don’t Worry Darling taking place at the Odeon, Komedia and Cineworld.
Odeon and Cineworld were contacted for comment.
