A cow has been spotted on the loose near Beachy Head with drivers warned to be cautious.

Reports from social media suggest that the animal has been standing in the carriageway at Beachy Head near Eastbourne.

The loose “bull” is said to be roaming in Beachy Head Road between Birling Gap and the Belle Tout Lighthouse.

One tweeter, who tagged Sussex Police, said that the cow was “running on the road”, adding that the nearby farm had been informed.
