Children in Brighton and Sussex are already seven weeks into the school year.
By now, many will be looking forward to the half-term break.
This year, the half-term runs from Monday, October 24 until Friday, October 28 across Sussex and in Brighton.
Youngsters might notice lighter mornings when they first return to school, because the clocks go back on Sunday, October 30.
But they also might be frustrated, as this year they return to school on Halloween, meaning late night trick-or-treating may be out of the question.
The first half term is eight weeks, meaning pupils will then be over halfway to the two-week Christmas break.
After returning to school on Monday, October 31, it is only seven weeks until the festive holidays, which fall early this year.
Children have over a week to prepare for the big day as the break begins on Friday, December 16.
Autumn half term holiday: Monday, October 24 - Friday, October 28.
Christmas holiday: Friday, December 16, 2022 - Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
