THREE men have been sentenced for drug dealing after heroin and crack coacaine were found in disposable coffee cups.
Stephen Lawson, 50, Leon Stanford, 51, and Kerry Grzegorz, 45, were all convicted for possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply. The trio were arrested on June 27, 2020, and found with over a hundred wraps of drugs and nearly £750 in cash in their possession.
Lawson and Stanford were sentenced to 43 months and 33 months imprisonment respectively, while Grzegorz was given a 22-month suspended sentence.
The judge commented that Lawson played a significant role” in drug dealing operations in Bognor and described Stanford as also “very active”.
Stanford and Grzegorz were also arrested on July 2, 2020, where police discovered the pair with wraps of drugs and cash concealed in disposable coffee cups.
Sergeant Chris Bryant, of Sussex Police’s Tactical Enforcement Unit, said: “Working with colleagues and acting on information and intelligence provided by vigilant members of public, together we were able to secure convictions against some of the area’s main street dealers, preventing them from being able to supply drugs which cause so much harm in our community.
“Our main aim with this operation was to prevent, detect and disrupt criminality in the Bognor Regis area.”
