THE Amex is one of the cheapest Premier League stadiums for a pint, according to a recent study.
Research by OLBG found that a beer at the home of Brighton and Hove Albion was £4.95, cheaper than Crystal Palace, Arsenal and Chelsea.
However, Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium offers the cheapest pints at just £3.
Top ten cheapest pints at Premier League stadiums:
- Old Trafford, Manchester United - £3
- Anfield, Liverpool - £3.30
- Vitality Stadium (Dean Court), Bournemouth - £4.25
- Goodison Park, Everton - £4.55
- Etihad Stadium, Manchester City - £4.60
- St James’ Park, Newcastle United - £4.90
- Amex Stadium, Brighton and Hove Albion - £4.95
- Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace - £5
- Molineux Stadium - £5
- Elland Road - £5
Pints were most expensive at West Ham’s London Stadium, with football fans having to pay £7.60.
The Away Day Index also considered a range of other factors including stadium reviews, parking costs, access to public transport and local crime rates.
The Amex scored poorly for the high cost of parking but the club does offer a subsidised travel scheme for supporters.
A spokesman for the Albion told The Argus earlier this year that more than 70 per cent of fans travel to matches at the stadium by sustainable methods.
He said: “The Amex has always had one of the most effective sustainable transport policies for a sports venue in the UK, and is part of the planning consent for being given permission to build the stadium.”
