BRIGHTON is one of the most expensive cities in the UK for parking, according to a new study.
A report by Moneybarn found the average cost of an hour’s stay in the city cost an average of £5.45 - more expensive than Glasgow, Liverpool and Bristol.
However, it was the Scottish capital Edinburgh that was found to be the most expensive, at an eye-watering £7.78 an hour - more costly than even London, which had an average of £6.56.

On the other side of the table, Worthing placed joint third among the most affordable places to park, tied with Coventry with an average hourly cost of just £1.45, placing behind Chelmsford and Preston.
Despite its low cost, however, Worthing was also ranked in the top 20 UK cities where it is most difficult to find a parking space, with just 3.30 spaces per 1,000 cars.
The study used National Car Parks (NCP) data to reveal which towns and cities have the most parking spaces, as well as the average cost of a minimum one-hour stay in each location.
