A MAN driving at “excess speed” was pulled over and arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, as well as drink and drug driving.
The Ford Focus was seen speeding in Sutherland Road, Brighton, just after 6pm on Tuesday.
The car was stopped just over a mile away at the Wilson Avenue junction leading to Warren Road near Brighton racecourse.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Police received a report about a vehicle suspected of travelling at excess speed in Sutherland Road, Brighton, at 6.10pm on September 20.
“A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, common assault, drink-driving, drug-driving, and possession of cannabis.
“He has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.”
