Met Office weather forecast for Queen’s funeral
The Met Office predicts Monday will be “mainly dry” with potential for light showers.
A forecast reads: “Sunday chilly at first, then dry with sunny spells. Breezy towards the east. Monday mainly dry with sunny spells and isolated light showers. Winds easing. Tuesday cloudy but mostly dry.”
Further across the UK, the Met Office said: “The settled spell of dry and fine weather is likely to continue into the start of next week with high pressure remaining dominant across the UK.
On Monday, most places will be fine and dry with some sunny spells. However, the odd light shower may affect parts of England and cloudier skies and some rain could move into the northwest.
Still cool by day and night but feeling a little warmer than the weekend with lighter winds.”
British Weather Services senior meteorologist has said: “Reflecting on the nation’s loss, the weather will be quiet, mellow, peaceful, restful weather up until Monday.
“Temperatures appear to be going down into the weekend and then gradually recovering. On Monday, London will be in the high teens and maybe even up to 21 degrees.”
