With regard to the story about Britain's number one royal-watcher, Julia McCarthy-Fox (The Argus, March 31), while I don't want to knock Mrs McCarthy-Fox for enjoying Her Majesty's visits over the years, what about the money she has spent following her around?
Surely she could have donated some of this money, which must add up to thousands of pounds over the years, to a charity the Queen supports?
While she obviously enjoys seeing the Queen again and again, why not put her hobby to good service and help troubled people or those less fortunate as the Royal Family's charities do?
The book she is planning to have published could be another way to raise money for charity.
