Cars were clamped and fines were handed out yesterday during a crackdown on illegal cars and parking.
Sussex Police joined forces with Brighton and Hove City Council and the DVLA for the vehicle clear-up day in the Preston Park area of Brighton following complaints from residents that cars were on the road with no tax or MoT.
There had been several complaints of people living in parked vehicles so the council's travellers' liaison officer was also involved.
PC Lisa Timerick, who co-ordinated the operation, said: "The day was a success.
"We clamped ten cars altogether and gave out a number of tickets as well, although, as there were a number of agencies involved, we are still waiting for the full results."
